PB 400, 400W

Kassbohrer Pisten Bully
The PistenBully 400 is a versatile and powerful snow groomer designed for efficient slope preparation at ski resorts with varying requirements. It combines excellent performance, precise handling, and agility, ensuring reliable operation on slopes of any layout and length.
The PistenBully 400 W is the winch-equipped version, developed for operation on steep terrain and under challenging conditions. Its automatically controlled winch enhances the machine's stability and enables safe maneuvering even on gradients of up to 100%.

The key difference between the models is the presence of the winch on the PistenBully 400 W, making it the ideal solution for tasks that demand maximum control—especially on difficult-to-access and steep sections.

The machine has the following key dimensions and technical specifications:
  • Width without tracks — 2,500 mm; length with front blade and tiller — 9,090 mm (up to 10,070 mm with track profiler).
  • All-Way Blade width: 5,260 mm when open, 4,420 mm when closed.
  • Vehicle height — 2,830 mm; in winch operating range — up to 3,280 mm; with tilted cab — up to 3,310 mm.
  • Recommended garage dimensions: length — 11,000 mm; width — 6,000 mm; height — 3,500 mm.
  • Unladen weight without tracks — 5,570 kg for the 400 version and 8,000 kg for the 400 W.
  • Operating weight with tracks, front blade, and tiller — from 9,865 kg and 12,295 kg, respectively.
  • Maximum permissible weight — 13,500 kg for the 400 and 14,200 kg for the 400 W.
  • The 400 W version is equipped with a winch system featuring stepless automatic pulling force up to 40 kN, a rope length of 1,050 m (usable length — 1,000 m), and a calculated breaking load of 135 kN. The total weight of the winch assembly is 2,095 kg.
  • Payload capacity of the loading platform — 1,500 kg for the standard model and 2,500 kg for the winch version.
